Words cannot begin to explain how this account came to be. Delissa tragically lost her life on the morning of October 8th, 2016.

She was a loving and devoted mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend. She loved her girls more than anything in the world. She took pride in her country, and helping others in need. The wife of a Purple Heart veteran to whom she devoted and ultimately lost her life to. She stood with pride and honor for her family.

Her daughters are now left without a mother and a father who they may never get to see again. They have their aunt who lost a sister and became a mother figure/protector overnight. This family is going through pains we may never know or ever feel. Money can never replace what was taken or lost though all of this. It can help get these girls get the things that will help bring some normalcy back into their lives. A small donation to this family is something we can all get behind.

Life is a challenge we all deal with on a day to day cycle. The cycle for these girls have been thrown into a whirl wind of emotions that will take time and understanding for years to come. Please help us with whatever you can so we can get them whatever is needed to live a successful life and future. All proceeds are set up to go to their aunt with whom will do what is needed for them. We stand beside her and her decisions for what is best for them.

Yesterday Delissa’s two young daughters, Rasha along with her family and friends laid Delissa to rest. Rasha was the girls rock and sense of comfort throughout the day along with every day since this tragic event. She is an amazing strength for these girls, and we couldn’t be more proud of her!! ❤️. Today would have been Delissa’s birthday.

    UPDATE:

Rasha (Lissa’s sister) here… I just want to thank all of you who donated to help my sweet nieces. It’s been almost a month since this has happened and what a worldwind it has been.

The girls are doing the best they can despite this extremely challenging situation. They have so much of their mother in them. They’re loving school and making lots of friends. We will be moving in less than 18 days and the girls are excited to decorate their room!

Again, I appreciate the kind support from all of you. Lissa continues to live on in all of us. ❤️
